Turun Messut – Turku General Fair 2017

In August 2017, the biggest general fair in Finland provided visitors with four days filled with nice experiences, joyful spirit and great purchases. Turku General Fair 2017 attracted almost 18,000 visitors and around 180 exhibitors.

Turku Fair Center was full during Turku General Fair 2017. All four indoor halls and outdoor area together guaranteed easy access and createdhuge event atmosphere. In the outdoor was seen impressive action shows produced by the Finnish Defence Forces as well as their widely known delicious doughnuts and soup kitchen.

In 2017 hosts of the Turku General Fair were Turun Sanomat and Finnish Defence Forces. There were also several other partners in the fair. Eläkkeensaajat ry and Eläkeliitto organized Senior Citizens Day. City of Turku together with Tekniikan Akatemia planned a special program for the younger members of the families. The highlight of the weekend might also have been performances by the popular Moomins and Hevisaurus or ever so energetic Dudesons.

We want everyone to enjoy their stay in Turku General Fair. You could find a stage in every hall, packed up with shows about wellness, pets and Suomi100 celebration. Fashion shows, musical performances and concerts and other numbers are sure to be remembered.

2017 was the year of Finland100 -celebration

“100 years of Finnish know—how” presented itself during Turku General Fair in august. It was part of centenary celebration of Finland´s independence bringing discussions, exhibitions and fair stands to visitors. Visitors heard about the bigger and smaller success stories in business and education as well as innovations of the 100-year old Finland. Program and stands in co-operation with: Suomalaisen Työn Liitto, Turun Kauppakamari. Varsinais-Suomen Liitto, Turun Kaupunki, Tekniikan akateemiset/Turun Tekniikan päivät and Åbo Akademi.
