Visit BoatExpo and find active customers!
BoatExpo 2018, coming up this November, will bring some exciting events to Father’s Day weekend. The event will draw active boaters and enthusiasts from both the coast and Finland’s lakes district, as well as many summer residents from the Turku archipelago. The event will feature the 2019 season’s newest boat models and supplies and services for boaters.
Last autumn, BoatExpo enthralled fair visitors and media alike, bringing together more than 7,000 visitors (verified by SMT, 2017) and a large group of journalists. The weekend event featured a broad array of motor boat debuts, and sailing was also high on the agenda. In honor of Finland’s 100th anniversary, entry to the expo was free, with voluntary admission fees donated to the Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association (Pidä Saaristo Siistinä ry). We will do the same this year and donate all voluntary admission fees to a designated charity.
Survey shows expo influences purchasing decisions
According to a consumer survey conducted at the event, every fifth visitor came to the expo intending to purchase a boat. Among those who took part in the survey, 79% said they had a boating-related hobby, and 55% said the expo influenced their purchasing decision. The survey responses reflected, in particular, an interest in sailboats and boating equipment, and the respondents hoped they would see more of these at the next event. Based on the exhibitor survey, 70% of companies felt that they had reached their target audience, and all respondents said that they would consider participating in the expo again.
